David is survived by his wife Mildred of 68 years, daughter Janne and husband Mike Livermore of Horseshoe Bay, grandson Jeff and wife Ariel Livermore of Dripping Springs, and sister Juanita Smith of Blanco.

A funeral service will be held Friday, November 10, 2017 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Chapel at A. with Reverend Rick Cundieff officiating, interment to follow at Llano City Cemetery. She was born on July 28, 1923 to James Wade and Pinkie Eva (Forister) Duncan in Teichville, Llano County, Texas.

He is also survived by daughter Vickie Wooten of Llano, daughter Sherry Gray Fikes and husband Elliott of Kingsland, son Boyd and wife Caressa of Round Mountain, son Shane and wife Lori of Llano, nephew Randy Gray and wife Janelle of Cherokee, and nephew Mike Gray and Jewel Early of Llano. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tow, she loved to sew and had made Stanley’s clothes for over 10 years.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from P. She is survived by her husband Stanley Nixon; sons, Randy Nixon and wife Geneva of Camden, Arkansas and Ticen Nixon and wife Sandra of Plainview, Texas; 5 grandchildren, Brandi, Trista, Travis, Ty, and Tad; and 10 great grandchildren.

Additionally, he was an avid football fan and Nascar, armchair participant.

In his twilight years, he enjoyed watching the wildlife at Lake Buchanan.

Von was a faithful servant and active supporter of Shriners Burn and Children’s hospitals.
